Filmed in the beauty of the Delaware National Forest of Pennsylvania,

this film follows the journey of three backpackers, all living with physical challenges who have come together to hike for the very first time.  The trail takes the trio over streams and through rock filled forest as we learn about the difficulties they face walking “A Mile in Our Shoes”.

Filmed in June of 2017, the documentaries producers hope to offer a timeless look into the need to connect with nature for therapeutic reasons while demonstrating the perseverance of the human condition and the tenacious attitude that backs it up, regardless of the extra challenges. In addition to highlighting the healing power of nature, the film also offers a glimpse into the resilience and perseverance that combine with the innovative spirit to continue the pursuit of life's passions in spite of the perceived physical limitations.

T.D.H. & U.S.P.F. would like to thank the following individuals, organizations  and businesses for participating in the creation of this film.

Special thanks to the backpackers who could not join us.

Please know that our thoughts were with you as we traveled.
Lon Diffenderfer, Jenny Casey and Omega Kimoto.
